Life is stressful enough with parents, work and children without having to go through disastrous moments like this. Your home should be a sanctuary of peace but sadly you aren't the only one with issues like this. Keep strong and one day you will look back and laugh about it!

Levi Eslinger @ Capital PlumbingAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16729557847471271198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-999210371475734537.post-2603097225122217322016-06-28T12:04:30.776-04:002016-06-28T12:04:30.776-04:00Thank you for the encouragement! It is now June and we are not fully finished with the basement. We have to buy several more bookcases and then I think we can empty out the last of the items that we were able to salvage. Maybe by August we will be back to the way things were before the first of the two floods. Hope your basement’s fine. Our basement flooded after Hurricane Sandy. It was the only time it flooded, but once was enough for me. Our carpets were ruined so we just replaced them with tile flooring. Stay strong and positive; you'll make it through.

Carmelo @ PRO Hot Water ServiceCarmelohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16401044128589460724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-999210371475734537.post-87287308158653689442016-03-06T11:57:48.728-05:002016-03-06T11:57:48.728-05:00I would not wish this on anyone! BUT, I will have to pay to have the plumber come out and check it. So far five bookcases that were used in my pantry to hold food are a loss and one bookcase that Justin had his books in is also a total loss. I have to have him check his guitar, his gun safe, and everything that is out in the garage. We know that a vacuum, a floor fan and two boxes of wrapping paper are a loss. I have to check my mom's 50 year old Christmas tree stand (can't be replaced) and Justin's cradle (can't be replaced) which I hoped to pass down to grandkids. All of Justin's beer making equipment also got wet, though I am hoping it can handle it.
