I'VE BEEN PLAYING!

I woke up this morning feeling pretty good!  AMAZING!!!!  So, I decided to take advantage of my body's cooperation and dove into my "stash" to work on some stitchy projects.

A while back I started work on a few stitching kits.  They have been slow going.  I'm just lucky I don't have a deadline because boy-oh-boy does it take me long to accomplish just a few little things!  Thankfully, though, I am still able to enjoy my hobbies for small bits of time here and there.  Not as often as I would like...but I'll take what I can get!

In fact, I have managed to actually finish one little kit!  Yippee and HOORAY ME!!!

It was just SO nice to have a an hour or two of pleasurable crafting time!!!  Even though the pin cushions and needle books have been completed for quite a long while, I know better than to push myself to complete another little bag today.  One is definitely it for me, lol.  But, oh what FUN I have had!!!  At least now I have a sweet little bag sitting on my work table to remind me JUST HOW WONDERFUL A GOOD DAY FEELS and JUST HOW GOOD LIFE CAN BE!!!

Thank you, God, it's been a GOOD day!

  2. Thanks, Jackie! Yes, I had an absolutely awesome day. I am so grateful for such an extended period of feeling good today. The pain is slowly creeping back into my body now. I can't bend over to pick up something on the floor now, and I could this morning. But, I know there will be another day when I feel as good as I did today, and that is worth smiling about!

I have been having such FUN learning to use the embroidery feature on my machine. I've been working on these three embroideries for a couple of weeks. I just love, love, LOVE my "Ellie"! I discovered the hard way that it is best to snip the jump threads with each color change to avoid sewing over them, lol. Live and learn!

  3. Just take practice girl. I am still figuring out how to download patterns from the computer onto my Ellageo. Darn thing has me confused completely.

Had to use my serger today, even had to thread it!!! Managed it with the help of the book and a few broken threads.

    God bless.

    1. The only reason I have been able to do the embroidery is because I took a class at the shop where hubby bought my machine. To me most instruction manuals are useless. They don't write them for the "totally clueless" and that is what I usually need, lol. One of my old bosses was the resident "computer dummy". She knew NOTHING about computers and had no desire to learn. So, if any of us wrote instructions that SHE could follow, we knew we had done a good job, lol.
