FINISHED...

Even though we are supposed to get SLAMMED with snow tomorrow, the barometric pressure was steady when I woke up...so my pain level was stable.  I took advantage of the reprieve and did a small amount of FMQ on my pillow (my first real attempt at FMQ) and then sewed up the sides.  I absolutely LOVE this pillow!

Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry...my pain was stable but my tremor was acting up.  But I am sure you can get the idea, lol.

Good thing I did a little bit of sewing this morning.  The barometric pressure is dropping and I am starting to really hurt.  We are getting killed with snow tomorrow...think I will spend the day under the electric throw trying to keep warm and keep my pain in check.

Take care, stay warm and stay safe!

  1. Love it, Lin, the colours, the backing, the way it "ties in " all the other bright colours in the room...FAB. That rug was a great buy too.

Hope you feel better soon !

    1. Dang...lost my reply! Thank you, Rinty! I really LOVE this room. Hard to believe that until a few months ago I considered myself a mid-range color 1930s to even pastel shabby chic person.

    1. Thank you, Lorna. I think my life needs a bit o "bright" colors in contrast to the white snow that has plagued us this winter! Right now it is "white out" conditions and we are getting between 2-3 inches per hour. My world is white, white, WHITE with a little bit of gray thrown in! But inside we are bright, cheerful and WARM!

  5. Thank you, Lisa! Despite the horrendous snow were safe and warm inside. Poor hubby had to go out and snow-blow four times. Oh to get him into some nice warm weather where he never has to see another snowflake!

  6. I love the design of your cushion and the colours you've used. The tape measure piece in the middle really caught my eye. I have to add I absolutely love your rug. Hope the weather isn't too bad where you are and you don't suffer from too much pain.
    Take care Ali xx

    1. Thank you so much! I originally saw a similar pillow by Amanda Jean at Crazy Mom Quilts. She even had a quick pic at the end of a pillow done in the same material (white sashes though). Ah, my rug. I just recently purchased it from Ikea and, like you, I am absolutely in LOVE! The bright, cheery colors help with this horrid weather, lol. We are getting snow again tomorrow night, I think. Enough already, lol!

    1. Thank you, Gayle! I need to color to balance out the tons of "white stuff" falling from the sky! We are supposed to get another 4" tonight into tomorrow. Must make something else bright and cheery!
