PERKY PETAL PROJECT PIECED...

Say that three times fast, lol.  This quirky little pillow/mini quilt was begun as a way to try out the new Sizzix die that my parents bought me for Christmas.  I was determined to complete this project with absolutely no money spent on fabric!  It's time to shop my stash!

The next step will be to quilt this little beauty with lots of happy colored threads and maybe even a few embellishments to pump up the funky fun!  Then I'll add an envelope back just in case this "Perky Petal Project" is destined to cover a pillow in my Expanded Sewing Room.  OR, I can add a few 3M hangers to the back of the pillow cover, turning it into a mini quilt to bring some pizazz to my sewing room wall!  Multi-function means more bang for my buck...er...stash!  No matter where it ends up, I know it will turn my frown upside down!

  1. What a "happy" looking blocks! Doesn't it feel like a great accomplishment to "shop your stash"? Hey, I'd like to get in there and "shop" tooπŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„. Love those fabrics!

    1. I love scrappy quilting, so even though I do have charm packs and fat quarter bundles in my stash, I almost always mix and match them with tiny bits and pieces of fabric from my stash. One of my best investments was a lot of charm squares bought on Ebay. Six of those charms formed the foundation of my design. Thanks for checking out my project. Hope you like my blog!

  2. Very pretty Lin. More bang for your stash is a great way to look at it (more bang for your buck too).

    God bless.
